I think Lords have ego issues.

Anyone ever accidentally run into a whole enemy campaign just after putting a lot of your troops in Garrison? I mean, you humiliate each of them on a daily basis for the duration of the war, and when they finally beat you (400 vs 30, with 250 casualties on their side), they'll be assholes about it when you later speak to them.

You defeat them: "Oh thank you for releasing me! I love you!"
They defeat you: "Back for more? How many times must I chastise you? INSIGNIFICANT GNAT! Have you met my no relation, Lady Ellian?"

I think they should feel pride as opposed to disdain. They should say something along the lines of "I am glad I bested you. I hope we will cross blades again in the future!"

Does anyone agree?

Have you met my no relation, Lady Ellian?"

What does that supposed to mean?

But I agree they have some ego issues, and some of them more than other depending on their personnality.
It just obliges me to to wipe the floor with their arse again, as I don't like being insulted.

But true, they should show some sort of humility after the 20th time eating dirt.

I get this too, if the other lords like you, the nicer ones tend to say things like "I have to kick your ass but... no hard feelings?"

Actually, my faction was recently at war with Swadia. I beat one of the Lords during the war.
After the war is over, I talked to him at a feast. He was actually looking forward to our next meeting, speaking in a professional manner. And my relation with him increased by 2.

King were considered demigod (Divine right of king)
while Lord were of higher "bloodline".

or "Blue-blood" if you prefer.

I think it's a bug. Lords always tell me I should visit their daughter in her chamber, but they refer to the daughter as "my no relation."
