I screwed up the Warband files. Need Advice.

Hey guys.  The other day I was trying to DL some mod and ended up messing up the game and it doesn't work, and I don't have a backup either.  Theres almost no support for the game on taleworlds.com, so I was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to uninstall and reinstall warband without having to pay for it, and if so, how would I go about doing that?

You can just download the game again and reinstall if you have your serial key.

What Urist said. The key is probably saved in your computer registry, and if it's not, you can simply copy it from your e-mail or where ever it is.

I'm in the same boat. Whats going to happen to my character? How do I get him back?

I think save games are in the "My documents" folder so they should be fine if you uninstall. You could make a copy just in case

Well it seems that my saved games is the problem since I used a mod way back in the days that doesn't work with current patch. Now I'm screwed and must restart  Is there a character trainer somewhere I can use so I dont' have start dirt poor and skilless??

On the character page, go to statistics, in the bottom left corner, and press export. I think In "my documents", there should be a folder called "Mount&Blade Warband Characters". Open it, and open the file with your characters name and change stats to your liking. Save it, go back on Warband, go to the statistics page and press import
