I really need help capturing Warsaw (I searched, but couldn't find an answer)

You can do it without the whole marshal army, you need only enough lords and troops to even the odds - if the garrison is 350, gather at least 400 troops. Good relations with the lords and a little bit of persuasion helps. That's a good start. Then you need.

1. Grenades - lots and lots and lots of grenades. Stock 3/4 of weapon slots with grenades. 4-th goes to the Huge Sword Of Mass Murder.
2. Engineering - on you or some companions. Blow a hole in the wall, its a huge help because all the enemy troops are clumped behind it. See point 1 - GRENADES.
3. Hire as much melee mercenaries from the camps as you can and equip them with HUGE swords. They are beasts in a siege, once in the breach they can chop down unbelievable amounts of enemy troops. Help them with GRENADES.

If you can't succeed on the first try, retreat. Gather more mercs and grenades and try again. Obviously you need money for that so stock up before the assault, because you have to attack before the garrison can replenish.

That was my way, the way of the Mad Bomber. Feel free to use cheats tough. Games are meant to be fun, if something is not fun - bypass it.

I guess persuasion is important to convince other lords to join you , but how much ? Or is there any other way ?

Oh well ... what can I say ?

The game is great . Too bad a bug like that forces you to stop playing it . My 80 men army cannot take on a 350+ city with well-armed swedes , no matter how many times or what tactics you use . So I guess there ends my campaign .

Or, try gathering some friends. Why do you try attacking 350 strong garrison with 80 men in the first place.

Yes, wfas is a game when you need thinking sometimes. I know it is hard.
I did the Polish questline and there was only one thing I didn't solved myself or it was ultra hard (I don't remember exactly). When you need to capture a Swedish officer you need to capture a Swedish Reiter.

If you want the lords to be loyal to you, you need to raise relations. Persuasion of 3-4 sounds good but I don't know if it has any effect on lords. If a lord leaves you catch him again.

Do not conquer settlements if you don't received quests to do so! You might destroy the questline.

@lamerstein , Taking Warsaw back from Sweden is part of the Polish main quest.

@Csatadi , This particular quest is known to be a bug from a long time already as you can see from this thread (if you take a second to read it) . A bug that apparently hasn't been fixed in the 1.143 patch. So there's no much 'thinking' required here . It simply needs to be fixed.

In my case , I have to gather lords to help me take Warsaw , and apparently I have to find the marshal and make him follow me . Only that the problem is that the marshal appears to the King , as everyone follows him , and I obviously can't convince the King to follow me . So , ye, I'm pretty much stuck.

@Epicrules , ye , I guess that's the only way , even if I personally hate cheats and stuff and I wished to actually be able to siege that city and fight a battle supposed to be epic. Too bad . Hopefully they'll fix it in the next patch.

because of the arbitrary headcount imposed by the game and the buggy nature of attached lord armies.

I don't know how I solved but I did that quest and without cheating.

The Swedish Officer problem was bigger for me.

Taking cities isn't that hard, as you can usually get the option to sneak in and open the gates - that'll leave you with a reverse siege scenario, with no enemies on the walls and all of them trying to get at your force on the outside through one narrow gate, allowing for their convenient slaughter with your preferred combination of pike (yes, pikemen and cav/hussars will spawn dismounted, but with their polearms), shot and grenades.

Haven't taken Warsaw as the Polish, but I took Kiev from them with the Cossacks, and while I had a large army for that (marshal for the Radziwill rebellion), it wasn't really a factor - I don't think it triggered even one wave of my reinforcements. If you bring your own all-elite stack and maybe 1-2 lords with their random meatshields, you should do just fine in hastening the unfortunate demise of the AI lemmings.

His name is Colonel Michal Wolodyjowski, he's the marshall.

I've tried this many times and it works.
