OK, I see your point. I disagree, however. Whining without proper criticism is often just a lack of understanding, people feel something is wrong but lack the communication skills or gaming knowledge to elucidate what is wrong. Often people whine for therapeutic reasons.
Strawmanning, however, is a malicious act, made with the intention of confusing the issue... which generates a lot more whining, causing huge fights where the conversation gets increasingly off-topic.
But there's no point in getting into a long discussion on that, as that would be off topic. The main point is we need people to stop complaining about criticism, trying to silence it with fallacies about EA or the like. Because that means we can't discuss if the criticism is valid, as everyone is too busy fighting over whether criticism is allowed, or strawmanning clearly worded criticism so as to turn it into a brawl for idiots.
