i need some help

so i started a new character, and i did one of those ransome for girl quests from a merchant. So i got the girl, but on my way back, the girl got knocked out. but she was still okay, and i just slept at a tavern and she was back to 100%. However when i talked to the merchant to give him the girl, he it just says "about the job you gave me..." "what if I can't finish it?" and then he answers "Just do your best" and then end of conversation. the girl is still in my party. And I can't disband her! Anyone know what to do? A cheat to get rid of a party member?

Are you sure you took her back to the right merchant? I've never heard of this happening. I've had kidnapped girls get knocked out before and the quest completed fine.

yeah same merchant, tarchias, i checked the quest log, plus i only have 1 other quest which is for river pirates, so he has to be the right one if i can ask him about a quest.

also, in the quest log it says to get the girl near jelkla (sp), and then take her back to jelkla (sp), but I got the quest from Reyvadin(sp?). I first went to Jelkla, but nothing happened, so I went back to reyvadin and still nothing is happening.

i would take screenshots of the whole thing, but I can't find the folder where the screenshots go

When you take a screenshot try alt-tab and paste it in paint or whatever you would like.

If you use printscreen it should just go to your clipboard - when you ctrl+v in paint it'll come up.

I hate to mention the obvious, but have you tried leaving the town and re-entering? I thought the girl quests ended once you reached the town, but it's beena while since I did one.

If you paste it in paint, then obviously you can choose where to save it.

This is a known problem. As far as I know, we have been unable to determine its cause or a way to fix it (other than a new character) so far.
