i need help installing patch

so i've downloaded the texture pack from here

and i do not know how to install it
there is a rar file gr_textures_v.2.9 and in it there is a lot "dds" and 3 folder
so how do i install it
i assumed that i need to extract it to the texture folder and that's what i did
and when i went to the moudle txt file it already was written there scan "scan_module_textures =1"
so i didn;t tuch it
have i done right?
and what about the free folder?
do i need to get the dds files out of them and put in inside the texture folder
or i cna put the folders just like that?

i'm apologize for my english
and i also tried to searsh on this site the answer for my question and not managed
of course the fact that i do not realy know english didn't contributed a lot
so maybe there is instruction on this site and i just didn't found so i'm
also apologize  for that

by the way i've downloaded just the last version of the native expanaction
no need to download the previous version right?

i don't get it
if there is no need to to do somthing whith the texture
so whay does he write there to IMPORTANT!!!! You also need to install these patches YES THESE PATCHES!:
i'm sure there is some way to install it
but what i did was right?
to put the texture in the texture folder
cause i think there is a command scan or somthing like that

When Merc updated the post she forgot to tidy it up, that's all. The only thing that's necessary is to download the .550 install archive and the .582 patch. Everything else is optional.

right it's optinal
but it's not an option if i can't intall it and i want to because it does the game look better
