Recruit
Due to my Xbox 360 that I never play finally RRODing (lasted 4 years, damn it was a trooper), I had 1600 MS points and 2 month Xbox Live Codes I didn't need.

So I traded my friend 1 month of XBL and the MS points for Warband.

Best deal of my entire life.

I never played any mods on the original M&B (except "Gangs of Glasgow", and it was okish) so I liked this a lot more than a lot of people on here.

I almost never play the MP, because I suck, but when I did; the 64 player battles REALLY felt like 64 player battles.

I remember joining a game on a Ruins map, and spawning on a hillside surrounded by crossbowmen/archers, with infantry fighting in the center and various cavalry units rushing in and trying to pick them off.

The atmosphere was great.

As for SP, I can't get enough of it.

I've had a lot harder time with it than M&B, but I've finally gotten to the point where I'm doing good now.

I was awarded a fief (even though I'm just a Swadian mercenary) and have over 200 renown, and am courting a lady. In essence, I'm already doing better than I was on M&B with the exception of my town/villages/castle that I will eventually get in due time.

But I digress.

This game is just great, and I love it. It was worth the $30 and more, and all the new features are great.

The only minor annoyance I had was the changing of the faction colors which really confused me at first.

I thought to myself "Oh why are the Rhodoks in Nord lands now? And why are the Nords in the desert area in the north?"

It took me a little bit to realize the colors had changed.

But yeah, great game, 9/10 for me.

The best part is that I got it on Spring Break, so that means I have this entire week and weekend to play it non-stop.

I'm trying to establish a foothold in SP (going to try a claimant quest deal thingy) and I've already made more than a name for myself, then practice for MP.

I can't decide what I want to specialize in, Cavalry or Infantry.

All I know is that I suck at Archery.

Many people say they suck at archery. They just don't understand the role. Your job is to control the battlefield for your team. Not to get all the 1337 kilzz. If you can push the enemy into cover, you've done your job.

I understand, I'm just merely bad at it.

I much prefer melee anyway, especially when it gets really tight and you've got like 3 guys attacking you at once and you manage to prevail.

Bots are programmed to do one thing: kill.

And they make no errors.

People want to survive and also make mistakes, since their adrenaline is pumping and it's easier to read their attacks.

Man, I wish it wasn't so late, I'd be playing right now

Strange, isn't it? Somehow 1v1 players are harder, but in mobs, bots are harder.

Only since bots usually don't kill each other swinging randomly. A well organized group of players wouldn't have this problem and I know myself and 5 others could probably kill 100 bots easily :/

I don't know about that. Maybe evenly distributed bots. But not player controlled, pure infantry. You'd just get swarmed. No amount of cohesion could beat that.

Also, am I the only person who likes Sieges? They were my favorite part of M&B, even if I lost.

One of my favorite things about Warband is routing enemies.

The first battle I had where an enemy routed, I had just killed like the 10th guy (there were 11 or so bandits) and a lone guy started running, I halted my horse and I swear to god like 12 arrows all zeroed in on him and he fell.

It reminded me of the scene from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen where Connery kills the guy with his rifle from really far away.

It was just great.

Lol!! Terrible movie, awesome scene!

But yeah. I like the routing thing. They still don't have anything other than "CHAARRRRRGGGEEEEEEEE~~~" though...

Yeah the movie sucked but it was on AMC about 12 times the past few days so I've seen it so many times and it was fresh in my mind

I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive in the post, should be here soon . I love M&B but from reading the numerous threads about bugs and other issues , I'm a little less excited than before.

I've got absolutely no doubt it will kick arse when fully debugged and stable.
Right now the game has some wonky factors than need ironed out...

Sigh me in. I felt in love too.
A Game with i have the most fun after Years of stupid fast-food Shooters.

And finally a Game without Mages and Steahlter and Fantasy. Thats the best point.

Now i playing Multiplayer like a crasy....20h+ without break.

Hell i want DAoC with this Combat-system.
