I knew this was coming, but is there any solution? [WON]

AAR?

Can someone enlighten me? o_O

After-action report, basically when people make stories of their time in Warband. Check out Floris' AAR in the Mod Section, Floris Mod Pack, you should see his AAR stickied, it's one of the good ones out there.

Already read a few chapters, it's a good one indeed.

Yeah, it's one of my personal favorites.

NEWS: So the khergits were once again kicking our asses but this time the nords weren't fighting back, as in i felt like they were just giving up, i sent 2 of my companions to check out the lord's mood regarding their kingdom, and when i got answers from them i realized that everyone in the nords are enemies with king ragnar while the khergits have a solid kingdom going on.
Then, the next attack was on Curaw, the khergits had taken curaw from us and i decided it was (probably) time to found my own kingdom, where i would rule by the power of world balance and justice, so, after i had taken Curaw back from the khergits, i asked to keep it and as i expected, King Ragnar told me that i had too much fiefs in his realm. Knowing this, i decided to rebel.. The Kingdom of Templars was born! I am the Highly Knight Celian and i will rule to grant justice to those who fight for me. My 3 powerful companions, Rolf, Nizar and Lezalit are now Knights and i managed to get more 2 from the Nords, but, like i was expecting, i became enemy with the nords so i had to fight them, which was quite sad, they didn't even had the power to conquer Curaw back.

Now, after a month, i'm at peace with the Nords and the Khergits, my kingdom has about 30 fiefs, 5 Knights and me, the ruler and the nords are loosing tons of lands to the khergits, but, if everything turns out the way i'm planning, i can recruit almost all the Jarls to become knights in my kingdom, and the ultimate war will start.. When it's time of course.

P.S. - I, for some reason, kept my save game from the time when i was still a Jarl. Dunno why, but i just had to keep it.

Sad news about the Nords ;( I am suprised in general that the Nords could not outstand the Khergits, as the Nords usually have the most loyal guys. Good luck on your kingdom

@Quixote: Many lords from both the khergits and the nords have been asking me to become my vassals, so now i have about 15 lords in my kingdom and almost 50 fiefs, but against my wishes, i was forced to fight out the nords from calradia as they were always declaring war at my kingdom. The nords now only have 4 fiefs, 2 castles and 2 villages.

And i am sad too you know, i have 50 of relation with the khergits but i'm always at war with the nords.

It is a shame since it sounds like you wanted to get the Nords to victory.  But if they just weren't following through enough to make it count, then that's too bad.  I've felt the same when I've been friendly with the Nords, a vassal and such, then Ragnar didn't give me fiefs that I took all by myself while they were messing around feasting.  Slighted, it led me to rebel, but of course it ended up with war with those who once were friends.

Traitor!

At first i wasn't sure if creating my own kingdom was the right thing to do, because i really did wanted to fight all the way down with the nords, but, they were simply falling apart, and what was i supposed to do? Just fight until i have no men left and then the nords would get screwed and then, i would have no choice but to either join the khergits or to take one of their fiefs and since their are so many god damn lords this last option would be almost impossible.

My kingdom has currently 26 knights (lords), 76 fiefs and about 15 caravans, when the nords were gone none of the jarls joined me, but after a while a bunch of lords started to come to me. Even the ones from the khergits.

Maybe you shoulda waited till the Nords could send word back to the homeland and say they need help? (Damn I forgot its name!)

Nordland!  Heh, I dunno, actually.  That'd be a cool feature.

Nordland is what the general ignorant Calradian (and occasionaly Nord) call it. I remember Matheld gave its actual name.

It's day 3500 and my kingdom has about 120 fiefs while the khergits have only about 60. I have 34 lords while they have about 50, but sanjar khan's vassals are starting to turn again, their relationship falls because he doesn't have enough fiefs to all the lords.

Everything is going smoothly since i've put the marshalship in Knight Delinard, oh my god he is one crazy marshal. My strategy to take down the khergits was to take down fief by fief, next to my borders of course, be he had other plans, he went straight to the khergits territory taking narra and ichamur and a few castles over there, althought the khergits still own the center of the map, the dhirim, reyvadin and halmar triangle, and the castles surrounding that area. And now sanjar khan is always begging for peace whenever he can, which of course i refuse because i can't back down now and allow them to recover their army.

P.S. - Already writing a story, not AAR, but a story about my character and the gameplay.

Damn, just recently I remember the 2200th day

I truly envy you

Won.

Finished the game with all fiefs of course, 47 lords (do not know if the khergit lords will switch to my faction) and an empty feeling. There isn't anything else to do, i own 6 towns, my weekly budget is through the roof, my treasury has almost 400.000 denars, etc.

Well, yay and nay to the khergits, they only got to be a serious kingdom after they took advantage of every weak, about to disappear faction but dispite that and when they got enough lords they became a good oponent (i had to strike down 600 men to take their last city, Tulga).

I think i'm almost reaching day 4000.. Well, now i won't reach day 4000 because i don't think i'm gonna play that save game any longer...

wow sometime I'll have to do what you did... That is capture all the fiefs but when I do it there will be no lords with me just a little tweaked party size and lots of campanions with the trainer skill.

This is a great story, and makes me want to leave the Nords myself and set up a kingdom of my own.  The Nords were very disorganized in my game too, always in-fighting and becoming disloyal while we lost half our land, but I take every single quest to reconcile lords with Ragnar that I can and it seemed to help stabilize them.  We rallied, and have about half the map now - the Rhodoks are now the only real source of worry to me.

Come to think of it, by helping all the Jarls stay loyal to Ragnar I might've screwed up my own chance of founding a rival Nord kingdom.  We shall see.

@Flanged: Before i started my own kingdom i was a fellow friend of all the Jarls, King Ragnar, the entire nordic empire and even the god damn ladies themselves. The thing is, i was very tired of having to do all the work, i couldn't for an entire month stop fighting the enemy off our borders, because if i did the Nordic empire would just fall appart, and aside from that, by the time i rebelled, the nords only had about 4 of the original lords, which means that sh*t was very unstable and our lords were always shifting factions.

But, i only started my own kingdom because i knew it was a matter of time we would get our asses kicked and we would loose all the fiefs, because if the nords were a stable, strong empire, i would with pleasure keep fighting along the nords.

For my next campaign, I'm planning on doing a Nord character and going hardcore traditional Jarl... no fighting from horseback, goddammit.

As a Swadian, the Rhodoks can be a real pain in the ass if you don't trick them into fighting you on relatively open fields where your cavalry can make their life Hell. Catch them raiding towns, or in hilly areas, and they can be a serious pain in the ass. But I'd have thought that in such a situation, where the Rhodoks are normally strongest, that the Nords would be a serious threat to them there because of the ability to use terrain to reduce opportunity to use those damned crossbows. Close in and chop 'em up.

How has fighting the Rhodoks fared for you?

Have you ever noticed that 90% of the Jarls in the game ride horses into battle? or do you mean traditional as in real life?
