Has anyone been frustrated by the sloppy physics engine regarding falling down locations? E.g. when a person falls a foot while moving, skates for several miles, then dies? Or falls through the floor? Or otherwise creates a scenario which makes your death feel all too cheap for its own good. This is particularly evident in castle sieges, and really needs polishing prior to.
 
I think it depends on armor, as my heavily armored character (all reinforced plate, best stuff out there) usually falls for 0 damage, even when jumping off a castle wall. It's actually rather silly, considering someone wearing that much armor would probably crush his legs or spine in such a fall while someone with light armor would fare much better.

It is pretty annoying though. Trying to take castles, I've seen troops slide down the ladder and fall unconscious, or slide into the wall and fall unconscious inside it.
 
There seems to be some randomness going on as well. With my reinforced chainmail i usually take no significant damage from falling from the walls into the courtyard. But rarely, i take like 30 damage from it. In any case, collision and impact detection feel a bit weird to me in 95x - also in the case of horses (it now happens quite often to me that i intentionally speed towards an enemy rider and start to swing my 2h - asuming that even if i swing a tiny moment too late, i'll still hit him because of breaking when i collide with him - but then, i and my horse just move THROUGH him without affecting my movement at all. This to me almost always happens if i approach him from the side - never from behind).
 
There are some issues regarding collision detection... I got stuck in a tavern wall on more than one occasion.
And in .903 there's one castle (I can't remember which right now, and hopefully it's been fixed) where the ramp ends below the parapet, requiring a jump to get onto the wall... of course, that presents an almost insurmountable obstacle to the troops, making them bunch up on the ramp and yes, push each other to certain sliding death. :smile:

 
dont forget the accidental slide on one of those fences and your head suddenly popping out of your body
