Oh. My. God. The controllers sooooooo confortable.

I drove by people waiting to get one and licked the controller. Awesome.

I don't have a Wii, but I did wait all night with some people on my floor who did (and wouldn't if I wasn't there to beat a different group to the line ).  So far, all I've played is Red Steel, which has surprisingly poor graphics.  The controls take some time to get used to, but we expected that.  I only played one round before getting ready to pass out, but it was a lot of fun.  I expect great games in the future.

1) The controllers are very comfortable and light weight, though the buttons could be a little less analog.

2) In Red Steel you move the reticule to the edge of the screen to move, and in others it moves the screen while the reticule stays in the center.

I want it, but I probably wont get it for another year probably. I'm loving the controller. Hope they can make some good shooters with it. I'm just worried that other companies aren't going to use the technology to make new and exiting gameplay.

I would have preferred moving the screen.

that pretty much sums up everything I have to say

soooo? is it good?!

I really don't know why everyone is so excited about using the controller in a shooter. I mean, it would be just like Time Crisis or some other arcade game involving a light gun.

That's the thing. The technology has potential to be more than that now. Particularly sense the sensors have to be better/more responsive than that crap they had at the arcades, and because theres a whole system revolving around the technology now. Its a question of other companies exploiting it.

I heard it was adjustable, so you can choose if you want a bit of aiming before you turn, or if you want FPS-standard instant-turning.  Of course, I'm in bloody Australia, so I won't be able to play it for weeks.

Yeah, that about sums it up...

Of course, the only thing better than a controler is actually doing it

Then again, if you run around and shoot and people, you're probably going to go to jail. Unless you like prison rape or something.

Yes, but, for golf ect.

Also, it's quiet easy to go shooting at a range, and even then, there's some ranges where they do 'feild shoots', where you crawl around and shoot at 10 different targets ect.

Has the new Legend of Zelda thingy come out yet? That should be a blast, what with slashing your "sword" like a madman

PS I've heard about an attatchment called the "nunchuck" or something, used as a d-pad. Or do you just use the d-pad on the controller?

The nunchuck has a standard thumbstick and two bumpers.  For instance, its used in Red Steel for movement, jumping, and crouching.

Get Zelda if you can, its an absolute blast.  Wonderful conversion to the Wii, unlike Red Steel (which is fun, but some things with the aiming didn't translate right).
