yeah, yeah, i know... corny start... but it got you looking didnt it?

i wish someone could either make a mod, or tell me how to make a mod that lets you choose all your characteristics from the start...

the way it is now, you get to place a few after youve chosen your "occupation"... what i want is the chance to set those values mysef... for example, the hunter suits me best, but i dont want to use a bow, i want to use throwing axes instead... wich means those two points spent on power draw (or whatever its called) are completely wasted...
if i had the chance to set them myself i could make a more "personal" character...
stereotypes are for the yung'uns... us old timers know how to roleplay without having to be confined into a stereotype...

(and dont give me any "but whey you gain a few levels" dravel, because im talking about the starting character here)

as far as i know, you can't really let the player choose all their own stats. what should be possible, however, is to give only very basic stats and give lots of skill/stat points at the beginning. we have to wait for the mod tools to create new charecter classes, though.

yeah, what i was thinking was a value of 1 in all the basic skills (strenght, agility and so on) and a value of 0 in all the normal skills.

weaponskills would have to be researched a bit more from my part... maby a value of 20 each?

Good point. Unfortunately classes are hardwired into the game at moment. But it will be possible to do this in the next version or more probably in the one after next.

niiiiice... thats what i was hoping for...

i understand the concept of having "classes" but being a seasoned roleplayer (both P&P and computer) i prefer the freedom of no classes...

Right. That's enough of that.
