I'm so sick of these self-victimisation threads - if you have valid concerns raise them. I have many-times; however I manage to do it without crying. This bull**** though is just rage-baiting.

Mount&Blade was never about multiplayer.

Actually, that's exactly what Warband was about and in it's day it was their most successful product by far. I bought M&B in 2005 and desperately wished it had MP. At the time, it seemed that it wouldn't happen because it would require so many changes to the game engine and they were a much smaller team then. Taleworlds hosted tournaments as recently as 2017. Yes, a big part of M&B is multiplayer and Taleworlds knows that which is why they're investing so much into it.

I understand that people are frustrated with the game and have legitimate complaints. My concern is that they are not communicating this criticism in a constructive or meaningful fashion.

I completely agree with this. And by the way... I wish all the people who keep on crying how bad this game is would really stop playing, just like the OP did. That would finally rid these forums of the same negativity that is being spread here over and over.

Crying =/= valid criticism

Keep telling yourself that if people stop crying the game will get better. Especially when the forums is the only place where the devs get their feedback from.

But crying isn't valid. It's a game. No one should care that much. I understand people have a lot committed to it but that passion has turned to a horrible toxin that has infected the community.

Harsh criticism should always be welcome but some of these threads now... they are just getting pitiable. There are a number of people who for their own benefit (if only that) just need to leave...

That way anyone who actually still wants to give the project a shot (whether they are angry or not) can crack on and actually talk about it instead of just bickering forever-onwards.

I don’t think you want the game to die do you? The negativity is completely justified. Most people have just given up and moved on with their lives. Fietta might have a point of letting the MP completely die out so they have time to fix it

Eb... what I don't understand is only a few days ago you posted a really great discussion about medium infantry. Lots of great references and discussion and the dev's responded. All seemed positive.

Now this thread is just a bit of a rant...

I dont want to fight I just dont understand why some days you're so on the pulse and other days it feels like you cant be bothered but still post something anyway...

That’s an understandable question and I have a very simple solution.

I just really like my friends in the RCC. They matter to me. I want to see them do well and be successful in the tournament we are in. At the moment we are tied for 2nd in the standings and I’m leading the team in kills. I definitely feel like an important contributor who has an obligation to practice with them and show up to matches.

I also want the game to be better. In my mind there are a couple simple fixes that would make the game instantly palatable. One of them is medium infantry.

With that said, I REALLY do not enjoy playing. It’s simply not a fun game. Especially in NA where you have teams like DoF whose only objective is to play in the most degenerate way possible. That’s not an insult to DoF players because I really like most of them and I’ve played on teams with them before. I can like someone and still rather do anything else other than deal with their bull****. The only aspect which brings me any dopamine at all is the cav vs cav. Considering that this is like 5% of the experience that simply isn’t enough. My day immediately gets worse when I play Bannerlord. I’d rather be doing just about anything else. I can’t even imagine how miserable it must be to be an infantry main. Hearing that their ability to dodge and weave next patch is getting hampered even more makes me feel terrible for those poor souls. If voicing why the game is so miserable for most players is a path that I can take I will continue to do that. Maybe the devs will read it and be reinforced that some of the changes they are making are in the right direction, and some realllly are not.

Also. Do NOT get on Cdjrcxx about Les. Les is an awful person who has rigged tournaments and literally commit wire fraud on people in our community. If Cdjrcxx wants to come in here and defend me from his toxicity he is encouraged to do so by literally everyone who plays the game.

Okay I see where you are coming from now but... eventually you just got to cut the cord. you aren't enjoying it - fair enough. No one can tell you to enjoy something; it's impossible. Play out your tournament; do well for your RCC clan and then seriously put this out to pasture. Maybe in a year or two you might have a gem you didn't see coming - but it can't be worth all this...

just focus on the balance threads and don’t fell like everything warrants a response. you’ll enjoy it a lot more that way

It is not fun.

Infantry is too slow and the devs want to make them slower.
Kicks are too easy.
Javelins do not require a brain to use.
Nobody asked for skirmish or the class system yet we are forced to endure both regardless.
The Twohander classes are jank and the devs want to make them janker.
Archery is very easy because the devs have an aversion to giving classes decent shields.
Cavalry is very easy because the devs have an aversion to giving classes decent spears.
Cavalry is very easy because none of the movement mechanics which governed cav in Warband made it to Bannerlord.
Snowballing is worse than in warband by several magnitudes.
The devs have been smiling and nodding since alpha when players give suggestions but the issues we feel most strongly about have been left unattended. Whatever discussion is happening is being shut down by some big guy in charge who thinks his vision is more important than the thousands who want to just have fun again.

Despite all of this Ive put tons of hours into this game while locked in my room and barely able to breathe because some kid coughed on me at some point in the last 2 weeks. I just dont feel like forcing myself to play something I dont enjoy for much longer when I could be doing co-op lego star wars or something.

You'd have a much better time if you didn't waste your energy scolding people. Reminding people that they are, in fact, being vitriolic isn't improving discourse. Arguably, you worsen it by derailing the discussion further. You'll be a lot less miserable if you stop doing that.

Case in point: this thread. You come in crying about how others are crying, and now the whole discussion is seemingly your own public therapy session. Had you left it alone, the thread would've either died or become something more productive. Instead, we're looking at this mess.

Okay I'll admit when I'm wrong. I can't disagree with any of that. I think the most mature thing I can do is take a break from the forums. Come back and check out the 'big' patch when it arrives. Nothing will be happening until then anyway.
