I get that you don't just snap code into existence...but what about scenes/models, story elements and other more code independent parts?

Bit of a tangent here but I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate the stupid warband memes that everyone on reddit finds hilarious for some reason, and the fact that they're shoehorned into the game is extremely cringe.
They just try to appeal to everyone, and therefore appeal to no one.

I don't know how to create scenes but I do well know how to create NPCs, I'm a TTRPG player (you know Dungeons and dragons etc.) therefore I create NPCs way often, I have OVER 200 NPC's in my Google Drive, all of them has their own personality and generic backstory and I created them in like 2 years, and it isn't even my job, I spent daily 1 hour to create them. This feels bad to say but creating every companion in this game wouldn't take me longer than 5 day if I work 2-3 hours a day. All NPCs? Around 1 month with 2 hours a day since most of them are empty shells

No they didn't. There's no evidence whatsoever for that and people keep repeating it as if it's true.

The only thing remotely close to what you're describing is when they implemented PBR in around 2015 which is a more flexible rendering system, but lots of games were doing that at the time without having to start from scratch.

(A lot of this misinformation is probably my fault, because what did happen is that they had to scrap a lot of the assets they were using, and I was one of the few people who knew about that so I kept talking about it. But people misinterpreted that as having scrapped the entire game, which is ridiculous.)

That's quite interesting, do you know why they had to scrap those assets ? Looking back at the earliest screenshots I don't remember the visuals being much worse than what we got.

At this point the only enjoyable thing about Bannerlord is the renting and venting on the forums. Honest to god, i had way more joy spending time on here than i ever had playing Bannerlord lmao.
They should just make a single scene in a Tavern with everyone of us in. And we just argue how horrible Bannerlord is. We get 4th wall breaking dialogue. And each of us is gonna be a billionare from selling 1 Javelin. The Barkeeper tries to walk behind his counter, but there is a ladder infront of it so he just walks around it 24/7. There are the Leader of every faction sitting on a table right in the middle of the room declaring war on each other every 2 seconds. I would play that
This is so good!

And after about 2-3 ingame years everybody just dies because no one could get food because the barkeeper is stuck at the ladder. Then your kid takes over and it´s starts again with other characters doing the same stuff.

To put it simply, they switched to a new system (Physically Based Rendering or PBR) which processes textures differently. Almost all games use this now and while it's harder to understand, it's a lot more flexible. But they didn't scrap all of the assets, for instance one of the battanian armours is from the first screenshot way back in 2013. Mainly they just got rid of stuff with a lot of metal in it.

The tragic thing is that a lot of the armour still looks like it was produced using the old system, especially the lamellar and some of the helmets. I don't think all of their 3D artists were properly briefed on how to use the new system.

You should know that a lot of players are either high or drunk, so they think everything stupid is funny and everything serious is stupid.

Bruh in 8 years they have done hardly any scenes. What do you think is going to happen in a few months. I would be surprised if they have added a single tree somewhere
It has been a truly pathetic effort by TW. There should be unique scenes for every location and 3 tiers for all castles at launch, but at this rate I don't see that happening. Much of what has already been made is amateurish and sloppy.
