I feel sorry for Harlaus...

I took praven for myself, bought my way out of war, then talked to him. He said you've got something that belongs to me, praven. I will make sure you relinquish it. The following day the swadians declared war against me if I didn't give them praven. I bought my way out again. Poor guy just can't get his fellow lords to help him take back his fief. Now the high and mighty king of swadians is homeless. He travels around trying but failing to rally support.

I decided some revenge. I attacked and freed him just to humiliate the ass. I declared war on swadian and asked every other kingdom to declare war on them. Then I bought my way out, leaving the others to do my dirty work for me. Of course, swadian declared war on me, again, but again, I bought my way out. Harlaus must be really pissed off.

Does anyone else think the war declaring and bribing for peace is too easy and simple? Better if you can get a spy to trick a lord's wife/daughter to travel out. You kidnap her and force the lord to declare war.  Then he sends elite assassins to kill you when you arrive at your capital town.

EDIT: Opps. Just remembered it's not Harlaus anymore. The queen still babbles about women should not rule though.

Why feel sorry for them? They receive a relatively comfortable cell in Curaw (well, at least they did, as my dungeon is getting rather crowded right now so lords are stacked in cells by two) and I don't come to humiliate them too often  They have no reason to complain

I conquered Suno ALONE and he didn't gave it to me... now the Swadians just have Culmarr, Almerra, Senuzgda and Dhirim

It helps to have a lot of renown (of course).
But once you're the last vassal left with, let's say, one village while every other lord has a castle or town for himself, you're in for reward. Or you can at least be surer to get it awarded to you.
