I can't believe the devs took this feature out of the game

why is Jeremus a big deal? I have played near 10000 hours on warband and never was jeremus important to me. Id always order my companions from my most favourite at the top of my troops to my least favourite at the bottom. Bunduk, Lezalit, Marnid, Alayen, Ymira, Artimenmer, Firentis, Jeremus,(sometimes Borcha, sometimes Baheshtur) So Jeremus was JUST about in my main party. Always there but LAST to recieve gear upgrades and my attention in general. I just dont get the hype, he was my least favourite out of all my main companions

Well, I think you could sub in any companion for the meme. To me, it's more about having notable companions, and not just generic clones that we currently have. Though I agree, I'm probably on Team Bunduk or Artimenner myself.

Need my Ymira and that FIRST AIDS!
In the earlier versions I kept seeing wanderers named Borchas something but I haven't seen any in later games.

How did you play 10,000 hours and never discover the value of Jeremus? That's like saying "i don't know what's so special about armor."

like i said. he was always in my party, i just didnt like him.
and tbh after a certain amount of playtime i didnt like any of the healing skills, if my army uses sharp weapons and kills like 99% of the enemy its only fair that the same happens to my own army, so i modded all my companions first aid, surgery and wound treatment to 0. Then i just modded all companions to have good fighting stats depending on how much i liiked them and gave myself any of the skills they would have had making them just my personal elite guard in fights rather than any benefit to party skills. Also i modded some of the companions appearances as i didnt like how some of them looked.... mainly their hair.

So you modded him to be worthless and now you're saying he's not that special. You made him that way! Regular Jeremus is awesome. He saves your troops' lives. That's the whole point of the meme.

i didnt need further advantage over AI, if anything i wanted to disadvantage myself. even before i started editing my game i didnt like him. It was bad enough that any sword strike of my army would kill and opponent when sword strikes vs my army only had a chance to kill. So even if i lose the fight i still have completely wrecked the enemy army. I didnt need/want skills which emphasized this issue, so i gave him middling fighting skills and he joined my elite guard just to bulk it out abit. Eventually i modded the game so every killing blow would kill my own troops too, just like my armies would kill theirs, then made every troop type have a very low chance of being wounded by a killing blow. So yea i did make his vanilla stats worthless, but as i said, even before that i never liked him despite his skills as a medic, even when i had just started playing the game, i had no interest in using him.

No need to justify how you play your game, but even if you choose not to use him, surely you can understand why the guy that keeps people's troops from dying is a pretty big deal to people?
