how do you actually acquire fiefs? i never get this option in diplomacy
You have to get your trade skill maxed out. You can do this by grinding caravan missions. Talk to caravans to find a market deal. And then go execute the deal yourself. Mine actually bugged out and stopped progressing around level 120 or so. Something to do with save files I think? So I ended up using a cheat to finish my progression.
