Sergeant at Arms
Prophecy of Pendor simply rocks. I think I have spent 200 hours on the damn game by now, and you just had to update it again? Now Sarleon is actually pretty damn dangerous to fight against!

I hope its not too messy that I made a thread for this, but holy moses is this game/mod good! There is just always something more to do! My only gripe is probably the 1000 man  big Noldor army that is right now kicking ass and growing bigger in my current game. Help please!

Anyways - I REALLY look forward to what the team is doing next with either this, or the 4.0!

Thanks again for all the fun so far!

I think he was just saying that he appreciates the updates. I think.

What type of Noldor army is it? Is it a scouting group or one of the named fellows? It will matter quite a bit when trying to tackle it since a scouting group would probably have at most a hundred Noldor with the rest being rescues.

Yeah, I meant the latest DLC type update with the tons of new troops

About the Noldor, yeah, its the named spawn, Ithril..something, but I'm guessing it takes a lot of lords together to take him out - Time enough for when I get an actual army established I guess.

Both Noldor lords spawned within 50 days in my current game...

I had to sacrifice 3 Jatu armies and 1 heretic army to make them weak enough for me to kill them.

Now i have 2 nice weapons

Weirdly, the other big Jatu army that was there...wait, that was actually a mystmountain army led by someone Wulfgar something, actually refused to attack him. I take it named spawns do not attack each other?

Some of the spawned armies can attack each other.
Try leading them together, they might fight. Watch out though o_O

It doesnt work with all armies, but I remember once a big Jatu army fighting another army (forgot which one)

Did they cross paths and not attack or did the Wolfbode Mystmountain Army try to flee and run away?  With a named Noldor Army, almost all other armies will try and run away because they have hundreds of Noldor troops.  Still you can manage to plan their defeat.  If there are several Jatu armies, lure two to the Noldor.  With an army that big, they move very slowly and the Jatu might be able to catch them if you can get both armies close enough so that they reinforce either other and try to attack the Noldor rather than run away.  You can do the same for Snake Armies.

Finally, if you are along in the game, have an established kingdom and don't mind sacrificing hundreds of troops, go and attack them yourself.  The trick is to retreat and leave the battle before your entire army is destroyed.  Now go get some more troops you have stockpiled and try again and again.  You'll lose relations each time you do this so you might have to spend time repairing the relationship, but the reward is pretty good.  A Qualis gem at the very least or the personal weapon of the Noldor Lord you defeat.  This is how I got Duskfall, which is the best bow in the game now with PoP 3.51.  If you aren't far enough along to command 400+ troops, I wouldn't bother with this tactic as it will take you far too many attempts.

As a last desperate action, you could try and lure the Noldor army (if they have negative relations with you) to the center of the Fierds. kingdom.  Their combined army is several thousand and they might be willing to take the bait and attack if one of their lords gets caught.
