Khergits weren't overpowered, they just weren't fun to play against because you sat around for 40 minutes waiting for the horse archers to use all their arrows until they finally attacked and died. That wasn't a balance problem with the faction, everyone removed them because they were boring.

But that's not what I said I wanted to take in either case. If I am good enough to earn the gold to arm myself with the best one hander money can buy and the best armor money can buy I should sure as hell be able to do that.

I've never said Warband was a perfect system, it wasn't. That's why when you have a sequel it's the time to innovate on previously sub-par systems. The gold system was good for customization, provided fun scaling goals, and allowed for communities/players to build unique loadouts. Frankly, the Elite Scimitar isn't really an argument for why we should have the class system but alright.
 
I physically cannot take the Legionary armor and an Imperial Polearm for example, but the Palatine guard can. I cannot be in heavy armor as a Varyag and carry the Long Two Handed Axe.

Snow balling is addressed in so many games in so many different ways so I don't really see it as an argument.

CSGO would be plagued with snowballing if it wasn't for the way the 'Loser Economy' works. In CSGO if a team begins to lose they are allocated a sum of money representative of how many rounds they've lost in a row. If you lose 2 rounds in a row, you gain more money than you would losing one round after a streak. If you lose 4 rounds in a row you gain a lot more money, making it applicable to buy back after a few rounds of torment from the enemies who bested you on a critical round prior in the game. Now that you've accumulated money through losing a bit, you can make your attempt on equal grounds to take control of the game. This is where skill comes into play.

If Bannerlord is going for skill based competitive instead of Warband's style, they've already started off on the wrong foot on multiple fronts. The game's factions just aren't balanced properly. They also balance a mode where you have multiple of the same unit the same way they balance 6v6 multiplayer. This does not work.

If they swapped it back to Warband's system not only would you see multiplayer players flourish with excitement but I'd be able to take whatever I wanted in whatever combination once I earn that gold amount. It's not about how I'd play different, frankly I don't even want to play Bannerlord MP because I've already had my taste of the beta extensively. It lacks depth, customization, and fun.

It's not even just about me in a Battle server. I want my community to be able to dress our guys how we want them to dress, use the gear loadouts we see as the most viable for a given situation, Bannerlord does not allow that.

I didn't want to be that frank, but yes these are my thoughts as well.
Guy got to play (and hate it) for free for months.
Proceeds to buy and bash it day two.

Now they're really entitled because they paid for the game.

The problem is that they totally ignore or try to discredit anyone who likes the game as it is.
I guess you forget there is a perfectly functional SP mode I can play in the meantime. Hence why I singled out the MP. That was a cute theory though.

My frustration comes from the community as a whole, yelling "This is not fun" for 8 months, and then nothing was done about it. Not because I bought the game and feel entitled. I'll play SP regardless. But won't play MP until my OP is addressed properly.

You make a couple of good points but unfortunately its overwhelmed by how whiney, pathetic and entitled you sound.

Try writing this again like a grown up and we can have a proper conversation about it.
In the meantime you singlehandedly threw off the discussion in this thread by constantly belittling people, causing arguments.

You understand that I have played a considerable amount of MP - far more than SP and likely far more than yourself as well you realise?

Anyway I have tried to have an honest debate but I think thats clearly beyond most of you - thank you Noviix for eventually calming down enough to discuss it properly.
 
Let me run around naked with a 2H-sword and style on the plebs with my superior blocking

What I miss so far:

Battle and duelserver
Customization of gear. I want to be able to recognize players by their shieldbanner or their choice of gear

The economical grind is gone, it is silly that you can start with full gear ( my hatred for armored horses is higher then ever and even so now I meet them at round 1, just wow). To be fully armored should be some sort of achievement for the players. Of course you can argue that the good players will snowball and outstat the badplayers, but in my experience to, loads of good players would choose to not use armor to balance it out and gain recognition.

Dedicated servers where I can meet the same players over and over again and not get matched with randoms in a ****ty TDM game or skirmish

Warband strived because of the M&B community, we had amazing modders and Guilds which had an impact on the game

Of course I can just go back to warband, but I have been waiting for bannerlord for such a long time and I welcome newplayers to join this amazing game/community. Bannerlord have such potential, but we are just not there yet.


( and horses can take waaaaay to many spearhits before they die (more horse banter, ducking cavspam))

sad part is all these things have been brought up endlessly to TaleWorlds for the past 9 months in closed beta. they have their vision for multiplayer and it is alien to what we had in Warband. they wont listen to the die hard community and I doubt they will listen now. hopefully the sight of their MP population dying in record time will make them second guess their design choices.

Well apparently not enough to realise that the new class system is way worse in ever way than what we had in warband.

I think there just needs to be enough people telling them to wake up. Seems like this thread is on the right track of doing that.
 
I think the ability to use ranged weapons and mount horses from different classes should be removed, personally think its too OP and it kinda breaks the point of having three different classes.
 
Sooner or later all these things people have been asking for during the Beta will be modded and the official servers will have mostly randoms.

The point is though... It shouldn't have had to have been modded. It should just be there.
 
Really need a duel server, if only to show new people the ropes. How does TW expect people new to the genre to learn the game when in every other gamemode they just get slaughtered instantly, often in seemingly uncounterable ways? It's actually insane that something as simple as duel, where people can just chill and learn how to play, is not in the game.
