I am repulsively disappointed in MP, Taleworlds.

Sheriff's in town got me dead hahaha.

You're actually so right on that 2nd paragraph specially Scar. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I'm quite dissapointed & sad that I didn't touch the game for 2 days now because I honestly dont enjoy it for more than 1 hour straight or max 2 specially on Siege(trying to not play serious). This right after a decade of joy on Mount&Blade and trying to press for improvements since June. Perhaps if they implement ranked soon or fix the AI SP glitch I find a reason to stack more hours even with broken mechanics balance and combat, but right now it's just a massive drag down for me, and it doesn't improve when I think I'm going to ruin the experience for any possible newcomer on Skirmish.

Fun fact is that we still await an answer from them, after that pointless discussion avoiding pressing topics a few days ago on this very same thread.

(Fortunetly someone inside TW confirmed there's plans for combat in the future, but it's just laughable that those others causing the ****storm don't even peak on forums at all, but to discuss nonsense and stuff that is already known, whatever, everything's been said still waiting a reply for my previous messages on this very same thread)

alot of dev studios just ignore players feedback, community devs most of the times dont have enough power to push changes. Which is just a bad design at all. Only when half the playerbase quits, there will be changes. (seen that in other games)

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but the same way players are driven by emotion the developers of taleworlds could have the exact same thing when it comes to some decisions. You could imagine a lot of devs spend countless hours working on the game and it just could be they don't want to change some of the decisions based only on the fact they have spend countless hours designing the multiplayer and it could be that even though the feedback has been pretty negative, they still somehow think its better because they designed it.

what has this to do with balance or the combat?
the class system is pretty hard to change at this point tbh at least to something completly different.

It works the same way with combat. Some developers might have spend a lot of time designing the combat such as stances and refuse to let this go.

Indeed, but when they're shown clips of why something is not right, they should also be open-minded to changes even after all that effort, same way we've been with an open mentality to try a new game and not bond our attitude with 'only accept Warband's style' they should do the same with certain facts.
Also afaik most of the impartial in-depth feedback has accepted that they won't change some stuff, and try to suggest on areas that are 'subject to change' theorically, followed by clips, explanations and lot of effort to show why something is unbalanced or not being good for the game(Casual-Competitive maintenance).

I get that. But it's like the graphics artist that really likes his work but loses all his clients at the end of the day. Doesn't help anyone.

I'm not saying this is a good thing. A developer being able to see past his personal "bias" in a way can be great but i think its part of the problem why taleworlds does not want to fix major design flaws.

I just wanted to kind of put this out since its been a general assumption that warband "veterans" or however you call it are heavily influenced by warband which is for the most part true. But as seen by countless examples are not pushing for a warband 2.0 and are actively trying to enhance the experience by trying to suggest systems that could help newer players get into the multiplayer without losing the core features that made up mount and blade warband or for a fact the mount and blade franchise.

The cores features of warband are the core features of mount and blade as a franchise since its the game accredited and well known through out the community to be the game taleworlds has made. Anyone claiming warband shouldn't be seen as a the game of the franchise is just putting a blindfold on himself.

I understand it’s flawed but, anybody else here just pop in for a few games and enjoy it?
Was able to play the beta for 400hours but i can without any doubt say i can not enjoy it. I only enjoy the game partly if i play with a friends and with the current influx of people in multiplayer, rolling over people in matchmaking is just not fun.

I’d recommend taking breaks this isn’t the sort of game you can just binge like that

you should stop playing if your so upset and never to come back ... i for one LOVE what they did. wish there was more 1h sword option for the lower tier class and a better look for cosmetic armor upgrade perk but not mix together ....

Ok, people will definitely abandon the series they have been playing for a decade without voicing their opinion. Just... What's the actual ****ing logic behind your words?

There's none. It is the nonsense braindead fanboys spout. You aren't allowed to criticize things, just turn off your brain and consume.

I'm doing that right now actually, i'm waiting a few months or at least until an update rolls out and see if the reason i was not enjoying it anymore was because of a burn-out with the game.

That's your opinion. No need to be a complete bi tch about it.

I do, had a couple captain mode matches this day and a few siege matches with a regiment whose two matchmaking groups successfully and luckily got into the same team twice out of four matches. Unfortunately, the servers crashed two times of out those four attempts. It was very enjoyable with VOIP and actual teamwork. It was less enjoyable during the day as there was some unnecessary toxicity in chat and made me kinda irritated knowing it's literally impossible to report someone atm. Maybe TW should blacklist their own servers as they were so highly inclined to write all these new server policies for Warband servers last year against private server monetisation and discrimination.

Not really, man. I can only play MP for 30-45 minutes at a time before becoming angry and demoralized at all the problems and a few terrible design choices, and stop playing. By contrast I once played Warband multiplayer accidentally for 8 hours and was wondering why I needed to piss again so soon, but it had actually been 8 hours. I don't expect that to be replicated or anything, but if I can't even play the game at all for more than 1 hour without alt+f4ing out of frustration, then I absolutely can't enjoy it.

It probably should be, though. Warband was.

I'll be honest I can play the game all day right now, provided I'm in a premade with friends or clanmates, but try to make me play skirmish all day as a solo player and I want to rip my hair out after the first match.

Dicking about amounts to taking warband veterans into a skirmish match and trying to win with Rabble with stones and fists. Oh yeah and we won.
