Need More Info I am my own prisoner in a recently captured settlement

Summary: My character is locked up in Caleus castle while I'm free to roam around. This prevents me from accessing my inventory and party screen which obviously makes the game quite unplayable.

On a side note, this particular settlement had issues with me capturing it as well. Each time my army would win the siege whether I manually did the siege or not the game would crash as soon as I clicked done so I avoided the settlement altogether.

I started the character on patch 1.6.5 but then switched over to the beta branch for 1.7.0 if that's relevant.

Edit: Forgot to say my kingdom captured the castle and elected me the leader
