not really, just read over it quickly and some words are obvious.

Ich = I
habban = (I) have
beom = (I) am
sunna = sun
wyllan = (I) want
heorte = heart
pece = pieces
smirk = dark

inventing languages is fun.

Is it bad I tried using ASCII to decode that?

I've been thinking of making a languages based on my regional dialect of Norwegian, with the case system of Old Norse, which we have lost. So far I've only made present indicative for "to be" when I was bored in class.

English is not my mother tongue

Looks more like mix of Dutch, English, Swedish and German.

Looks basically like Old English. Perhaps instead of confusing people with your mishmash, maybe just learn OE?

The word for I in old Engish was 'ic' not 'ich', and your syntax and grammar are screwy, your lexical choices are strange for an OE text (i.e to say 'I am' you'd write 'Ic eom' not 'beom'), you have not altered spelling for subject and object. Bleh, just learn Old English before you start screwing around with it.

Yeah, and everyone knows it's spelled Hraefn, not Hrafn.

Actually the most common Old Norse spelling was 'hrafn'. The dipthonged 'ae' is more Old English, although occasionally occuring in Old East Norse.

I don't think anyone's talking about diphthongs here (which would be something like [hraivn]), but probably more like an æsc, so Hræfn [hravn].

Umm, 'ae' (or æ if you can be arsed to type the code for it) is a dipthong. Mage was saying that 'hrafn' is an incorrect spelling because it lacked said dipthong, I contested this. So, yes, we were discussing dipthongs.
