My kingdom spans 4/5 of the map, I command 42 lords (at last count), I wear lordly armor, have masterwork swords and bows....


And I still get knocked out by a belligerent drunk in a tavern in my own capital!


Going to be a bad day for me... I can just feel it.

Ok, ok, admittedly I was not wearing my normal armor... when we are not at war I put away the Lordly Brigandine and put on my leather coat and khergit boots, and I tried to box him rather than fight with swords... but still 4 hits from a drunk the likes of which I killed my first day in Caladria and its lights out!

@Riddle - don't see how getting the lad out is gonna help.

NJSQRL - if it's any consolation I avoid the training peasants village quest cos I have excellent training skills and am often put against four or five opponents. I have my ass handed to me and then King Remedy V - renown 1700 - lvl 37 - full Khergit Elite armour and weapons - gets laughed at by the rest of the village. (I was there to raise relation but end up wanting to raid the place).

Those villagers never really give me trouble... I do not know why, I am horrible with the staff in any other situation but there I rock with it

However even at my high level I still can only manage 6-7 in the arena...

And I was right... bad day indeed. Decided to kill off the Sultinate finally, took their last few fiefs from them and went on a lord hunt trying to kill em off...

Saw the Khergits fighting a large party of Sarranids so decided to move in and give them a hand so I could raise relations with a few of their lords (to poach them if I could) and help kill off the Sarranids a bit quicker... and show off to my soon to be enemies

First round of the battle, I charge along with their cavalry, I have my sword cocked back ready to take a swing when I get to the front lines and in comes a jav from a skirmisher to go flying down my throat taking me out in one shot

I say, go home, have a couple beers, eat a light supper, rest up and get a fresh start in the morning. No TV,, no internet!

At some point I just scare the drunk by saying the "do you know who I am?" line.  Those tavern keeps never let me to shoot him

As king shouldn't you fight in tournaments instead of the tavern?

When kings get into bar brawls or even tournaments, typically they have pre-arranged their victory. Sounds like you overlooked this part.

It's like those times when you decide to tour your castle and fall off the wall in front of your entire court. At least when you KO yourself trying to climb a barrel you can always front it with "it takes a whole barrel of ale to knock me down" ...
