Hyped for 31. yet "low" expectations

I have to say that I am pretty excited for 31. March. Yet I am keeping my expectations low. After all this is just EA. I thin EA Bannerlord is going to be a Warband with better graphics. And honestly I am fine with that. A rather good looking Warband will entertain me (at least for a while). If it is more than just an "eye candy Warband" than even better. However, I will be just disappointed if I expect too much. What about you? Would you guys be fine with a "better graphics Warband" for Bannerlord EA? Or do you expect more?

If the gameplay is nothing more than what we saw in Gamescom 2019. i will play the game for thousands of hours.

I agree and we know that the game have a lot of new things revealed but far more not revelead yet like the character creation, all the diplomatics and laws and a lots of other things

(1) "What is the current state of the Early Access version?"
- “In terms of content, the early access version of the game contains all of the main staples of the Mount & Blade experience, with a host of content that is new to the series. Players can create their own character using the game’s character creation system; explore the continent of Calradia; gather their own warband of troops; command and fight alongside their troops in large scale battles using the game’s extensive command system and intuitive skill-based directional combat system; raid settlements; lay siege to and capture enemy towns and castles; trade items and goods using the game’s deep economy system; engage in politics and diplomacy; manage their own clan; upgrade and manage settlements; gather armies and wage war; and much, much more... all in a vast singleplayer sandbox setting where no two playthroughs are the same. The early access version also includes fully supported multiplayer game modes for players to test their combat skills and tactical prowess against players from all over the world.”

(2) "How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?"
- “The early access version of the game contains a wealth of content that will keep players engaged for many hours. While the early access version is very much stable and playable, players can expect to run into some obscure bugs and other issues while playing that we intend to locate and fix before the full release.
The early access version will be reusing scenes for different towns, may lack some supporting features, may have a limited number of quests, voice-overs, etc. and may lack localizations for some languages.
Throughout the course of the early access period we intend to introduce the missing supporting features, such as, rebellions, kingdom creation and weapon crafting, while expanding and enhancing many of the existing features that are outlined below.”

Mount&Blade II Bannerlord will be awesome, even on Early Access.
:xf-wink:

is what I always said, a warband with better graphics and animations is enough for me at first, and we know that it is much more than that, even in early access

Seeing as I've already gotten 200 hours out of the beta and I'm still enjoying it immensely, I don't see any reason why the singleplayer portion will not add a couple hundred more.

Remember to expect lack of balance and frequent bugs as well.

Same here. They said it is possible to take over an existing faction too. So add on another thousand hours...

I assumed when they say you cant create your own kingdom that would include taking over any existing factions, though great if that is the case.

So true. The game has so far exceeded my wildest dreams and I love it so much. Closed Beta has been a blast. The gameplay has been awesome and the friends I have made have made this beta something i'll never forget.

So is kingdom creation FULLY out the window for RN? Id imagine that you would at least be able to takeover your own towns/castles and raise your banner their. Might kingdom creation include social/economic policy and custom troop trees?

I’m kinda nervous for a rough launch because I’m pretty sure I read that they closed their office and are working remotely, but I’ve been waiting for this for years and missed the beta so I’ll take anything.

Well, warband battles were so limited and yet for me a 200 battles looks like a 1000. So if bannerlord just only allow u to double that will be a hole new experience, getting close to a real battle in numbers.

i think the 400 cap is just for MP, SP may go higher but i could be wrong

my pc is low-end and I can get 700 men on the field with high graphics, sans motion blur and bloom and stuff like that.

Pretty sure they just mean you can't create your own faction, like in warband when you rebel and start your own kingdom. You can still conquer castles and own them if your king gives them to you. I think you might be able to become king of an existing faction, but I'm not 100% on that.

You can be king of an existing faction only by votes

Same, just the better menu sytstem and things like that will make it a massive upgrade to a game i already enjoy massively despite old graphics and outdated systems.

Imo if proper kingdom/fief management, marriage and diplomacy will be on then its already a lot of content. Also keep in mind that the game will be constantly updated so you would not Reach a position to create a kingdom, save may bot always be compatible.

That's the truth , its a unique game whether its now or two years from now the game is going to be epic, and when the modders get thier hands on the right tools im looking forward to what they can do,
