How long does it usually take for the Raiders to get to Veluca? Ive been patrolling Veluca for 3 days now waiting for these Raiders to show up and nobody ever comes.
Whats the deal?

They must have been hunted by another party (or they may be still at war), if so, you can get your reward from the lord/count.

FYI, Veluca is only an example of this kind of quests, the destination may be any town on the map and of course, travel length may increase/decrease with respect to the destination.

Ok, thank you for the information. Ill go see if I can get my reward.

When you can't find them, activate the cheat mode (check the sticky) and use the reveal all parties cheat. You'll find the raiders in no time.

Normally, you will have 2-3 days to travel to the starting/destination town on the hunt-down-party quest. Depending on your party speed and how you travel (zigzag or straight line), it is possible to miss the party you need to hunt down. In case you missed, there will be a message and your quest log will list as failed. Also, if your party has lower spotting range but larger in size than the enemy party, the enemy party may try to evade/runaway from your party and you would never see it. Or they may be just running away from any large party who's on your side and that would take them a while (and a different path) to get to their destination.

So, check your quest log (hot key "Q"). If the quest is still active (not yet failed), then just keep camping near the destination town. They will show up sooner or later.

Three days aren't a long time. I sometimes have to wait for them ten days or more, thats why I usually forget the quest when I can not get them while they are leaving the respective town. I usually either find them while travelling or I check the Count, I do that every time I am near the town where the quest has been given. It is annoying though, because as long as the bandits walk along the quest can not be given again. Furthermore I don't think cheating is the way to go.

The Raider Party spawns immediately, and starts to move immediately. It may take many days to find them or fail the quest because they are fleeing in another direction other than their destination. Just don't think that they sit there and wait for several days ... you'll likely lose the mission.

Never thought of that, doh!

Since I'm too lazy to camp, I think I'll give it a try

By the way, questions like this go in the Apprentice Guild; moving it.

Unless the town they attacked and their home base are very close to one another and you're clear across the other side of the map, the best thing to do is go to the town they attacked then take the most direct route to their home base. Normally, you'll find them along the way.

If you don't, go back the way you came and retrace the route a few times. If you've gone an entire day and night without seeing them, then go to the town they attacked and travel in the direct opposite direction from their home base. What likely happned is they spawned at the town they attacked then got chased the opposite direction by a war party or larger patrol.

If you get in the habit of asking for quests only at dawn that way you maximize the amount of daylight for searching. I always try and "overnight" by their home base using the space bar since traveling around at night is a good way to miss them.

If the towns are close and you are at the other side of the map, then go to their homebase first and backtrack. Then repeat as above.

I'm also not one for the cheat method, though it is tempting sometimes. At 4500 experience points per, this Quest is about the only way to quickly advance levels once you're up there a ways and levels are  tens of thousands of points apart. I don't mind taking some time to hunt them down. It certainly beats galloping around to find the 15th sumpter horse!
