Hello everyone.
It took me a while but I finally found someone who wanted to marry me -- w00t! Great, I thought, until he was thrown out of Khergit for treason. He then moved around several times -- ironically to places that I was at war with, low and behold, he followed me -- obviously with the intention of attacking me, as did his father, my father-in-law.
So after moving around roughly 5 times he was exiled by Sultan Hakim -- except this time it said my husband went into exile outside of Calradia.
I am, of course, frustrated but I'm wondering several things.
1. Can I divorce him in any way?
2. Can I marry someone else?
3. If I started my own faction, would he come back and join as King? He's still in the character pannel and listed as my husband.
4. Will he come back at all anyway?
If none of the above apply... well... I'm a bit buggered aren't I? I understand that marriage for women will be different than that of men in Mount&Blade Warband, however once the marriage has been finalised (vows said etc), there's not much above that. Of course, I suppose it didn't help that I married a man with no land (in the hope of starting my own faction and having us aquire land together -- ohh the romance!) but it's nice being married... it would be nicer to be married to someone I can actually talk to mind you.
Ohh the drama -- oh the pain -- oh the awesomeness of being female!
