How to tell ranged units to open fire later?

google & the forum search couldn't find anything about that  :roll:

Does anybody know how to tell AI Musketeers to open fire later? For the players' units it's no problem, you can give the command to hold fire. But the enemy units open fire before they can really hit anything... Is there anything I can do to "fix" this? Do I have to change the weapon stats? Is it the "shot speed?" If yes, does it also change the damage then? Or do I have to "tell" the AI to open fire as sonn as the enemy is at a distance of xy?

I don't think that AI has brain for that, but you can surely somehow code them, so they order attacks later
