Hi,
I would like to prevent scout patrols from spawning in NE.
What files should i edit?

thank you

Not sure, but this would probably be a good place to start. It's a tweak to alter the size of bandit parties. If you can find the corresponding values for patrols you could perhaps switch them off.

Why would you want to do this anyway?

Maybe he got his ass kicked by one of the Khergit hordes.

Just kidding, no offense meant.

How about the troop editor? You can adjust the amount of troops the different parties have, including the special patrols.

Edit:
I forgot to add that you should update everytime before you click on something else than the party you're currently messing with. Else the changes will be lost.
Or I'm mixing things up with some other editor.

Thank you for the tips! I'll take a try with the troop editor.

I was NOT kicked by one of those puny hordes!!!
...
it was a patrol...  they got us after we had a party, you know, we were bringing this wine supply to a tavern in Ichamur and, you know, got a bit of taste of it, just to try.

Next thing I know am dragged about after some Khergit horse and its stinking rider

Seriously: they distract lords too much from what they are doing (as if Lords AI needed that ). They are too many and lords hardly ever finish a siege.
And yes, also the hordes respawning less than 24 hours after they are destroyed is quite annoying.
Plus villagers have no chance to make it through patrolled areas.

regards

edit: I tried Hank's method:
The numbers in red are the ones you want to change. The first ones are the minimum in the party, and the second one is the number that is the maximum for the spawned party.

changing to 0 both min and max doesn't work. Will try the editor.

Banditness!?  What does that control? It's a TRUE/FALSE flag.

I'm sure this has been said before, but you know how you can put points into Spotting and therefore see other parties before they spot you? Well, these parties must have a spotting statistic too. Couldn't you just increase that for all these smaller parties, so that they spot the siegeing army before it spots them, and then they flee without alerting the besiegers, and the siege isn't interrupted every 2 minutes?

(Now Wellenbrecher is gonna yell at me and tell me to use the search function )

I honestly have no idea. I only noticed it just now

I think the spotting radius isn't defined per party but by the skills the troops/Lords have. Might work just as well though.
But again, I don't have the slightest clue about this stuff. I'm barely able to add/remove items/troops and fiddle with their stats without breaking my game. Maybe a bit editing with openBRF but that's where it stops

How could I possibly be angry with an Irish person? Your dialect is way too cuddly.

oh?! I should start a new game?
That's so sad, I mean, wasting all that imaginary NPC life...

(note to self: watch less Nat's channel or these gents will think you are crazy)

The feeling of personal betrayal I get when a former ally turns on me (Yaroglek in particular), or Ragnar demands Suno (yet again), is probably the most powerful emotion I have felt at a video game. I don't play anything online however, so I guess it's at the lower end of that particular scale.
