Well, I'm playing sandbox and now I'm lord of Northymbre. What must I do to start the quest that allows you to be hight king of Eriu?

Thanks

Is it a save from 1.04/earlier?

Dunno then. I thought it was just triggered by renown (maybe level?) which I presume you have plenty of by this point. You didn't, um, burn down the Finian monastery did you?

No, no. In fact I've already done the quests that start at the Finian monastery (Morrigan and all this) but these are not the quests that allow you to be King of Ireland, I think.

I thought the Moriggan quest was just related to other characters wanting to be king of Ireland, and the politics surrounding that, not to enable the player to be that. Presumably you have to do it the old-fashioned way (there's maybe an 'Irish Chronicler' npc somewhere to talk to about this?).

There's an Irish Chronichler in the lords hall in Aileach I think. Don't know what the reward for completing his quest is though.

Thinking about it, you'd need to be a hell of a writer to pull that quest off. The player can be a female pagan former-slave from outside Northern Europe, and then manages to unite the 7 warring Irish factions as one under themselves. Through means other than mercenary viking army steamroll  (otherwise what's the point).

Maybe it starts off with someone going "That birthmark! It means that you're the long-lost descendant of Cu Cullain!" .  Or whatever Irish folk-hero you want, I'm not too well versed in that area.

You will find chroniclers in Denmark, Ireland and England to be the "king" of each area. They are tough missions with a good reward...
