how to start an order

Ive been hearing alot about these orders, like the unicorn order and the demon something order, how do i start an order?

You must have the following:

A Castle or Town of your own
20,000-25,000 denars
A Qualis Gem.
-(certain orders have other requirements, but there should always be an option or two no matter where you are, or who you have in your party.)

Then talk to your Steward and check the War Room.

awsome, thx for the reply. I think im going to stick with being a vassal for a while though, starting a order sounds risky.

You can still run a Knighthood order while being a vassal, I believe; you just have to manage a castle or town for your king.

Of COURSE you can run a Knighhood Order as vassal. It´s your private pleasure. You paid quite a lot for money and a precious Qualis Gem for it (in some cases). All you need is a stronghold - either town or castle.
