How to Siege?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the game, just started yesterday, and i haven't been able to figure out how to initiate a siege on a castle, village, or anything.  I only have the trial beta version, i haven't purchased the full version yet (i plan to do so today), so i was wondering if that had anything to do not being able to siege places.  So my question is how do you siege places?

You need to be at war with the faction you're going to siege - that usually meand being hired as a mercenary or being a vassal of a faction at war with the target.

You can also degrade your relation with a faction by raiding its caravans, but this will put you at war with a whole faction without having naoter one backing you. Which can be mor of a mouthfull than you can chew.

As far as I can see the price is still reduced compared to version 1.0 (which will be out in a few days).
So it would be wise to buy now and not wait. Just an advise.

About sieges: I've never managed to conquer anything with less than 40 good warriors,
so usually I play about 100 days (in-game) before I start besieging.

You can attack their lord to immediately start a private war between you and them. Relations will go to -30 and you can besiege since then. What do you need? 60 good Nords at least.
