How to siege the castle?

Damn, i still dont get it, how to siege the castle?
I go to castle and what next?
Please, in particular.

In vanilla (unmodded) MnB, there are only 2 castles that you can capture: Radoghir (near Reyvadin and Tulga) and Culmarr (near Veluca). Just travel to the castle of your choice, click on it then select "attack the wall". You will own the castle after you win the battle. You can store your spare troops in the castle (you won't have to feed and pay them).

And you have to battle it few times, till everyone there is dead.

If you fight them and dont win, will they get reinforcements?  if you kill them i mean, i know they will come back if only knocked unconsuise.  also, can you own both castles, and will the other faction attack your castle?

Yes, you can own both, and other factions will attack you to a certian extent (they need to follow you into the castle, and you need to sleep there) You also need a low disposition with them. Below -50 I think.

if you dont mind using the cheats, one way to defend your castle (although no matter what you attack from the outside which is weird) is to go to your castle then hold the ctrl button and left click next to an enemy and move to fight them and ta da, you're doing a castle fight

so if I leave 10 archers in my castle and go to a walk in a party only with a footman. Then I go back to the castle to have a fight, I'll fight only with the footman? What about the archers?

That is quite an irritating bug, in that the garrison should come to your aid.  It doesnt yet.

I've left my castle totally unguarded for a while...no one came to take it back.

So as far as I know, they won't try to take it back.



But don't blame me if you lose your castle
