How to recrut battanian archers ?

Only one village ( Aster ) propose some archers.. and you need to have at least 5 of relation to have them.. One by one. No archers in troops tree. Pretty strange for Battania

Find Highland Youths in Villages. That's how I got mine

Strange they have 3 infantry and 2 cavalry (even mounted skirmisher) but not Archer in regular tree.

Archers a nobel thing for battanian. Which means you need some positive relations in order to get them, because they are not regular troops per se.

I admit though, the game does yanky job of explaining that. Check the ingame wiki. You will find the Fain. They have their own unit tree.

But if that’s so, why are there plentiful Forrest bandits (all with bows) and archer militia in garrisons. Both are common people in Battania. If they have common archers for outlaws and garrisons, then surely battanian peasants should have easy access to bows. It makes no sense for there to be no common archers for Battania. Even sturgia has better access to archers.

dude. the highland youths are the rank 6 battanian unit. An infantry archer, it will be uncommon to find. But if you get them to rank 6 they will be deadly.

Forest bandits. Knock them out and and add them to your party, honestly you don't even need to upgrade them.

Forest bandits are...bandits. Fain are nobles.

All the factions have special "noble" troops. Battania has their archers, Vlandia and the Empire have their Knights and Cataphracts.

They all require finding rare recruits. It helps reduce the "All Swadian Knights, all the time" spam in the predecessor.

You'll also note those troops have higher skills than their generic counterparts. (General troops go up to skill 130, elites go up to 220 or 280)

Forest bandits are...bandits. Fain are nobles.

They can upgrade to them if you have the right perk (which you probably won't since it's high up, and even if you unlock it chances are it won't work ). Still, forest bandits are the best archers in the game after the Fian line as far as I know.
