How to make peace with a faction after raiding their villages?

With the current version of the game how do you make peace with a faction after you raided their villages?

Also is there a console command that can be entered to make peace with a faction? (How do you even bring up the console now?)

My Clan is currently at war with the Southern Empire and I want to join as a mercenary to the Khuzaits, but the game won't allow me due to being at war with the Southern Empire and they are not at war with either.

Its been a while since I last played Bannerlord and there have been some significant changes since I last played.

You have to seek out the kingdom's ruler and pay your bounty, which will be based on the "damage" you've committed against said kingdom.

Its been a while since I last played Bannerlord and there have been some significant changes since I last played.

You can to my knowledge just speak to any lord in the faction you have "wronged".
Ideally just talk to someone who is governing a castle, since they cant attack you(unlike other lords leading a party).

The compensation required to pay varies but its often many times the cost if you just raided 1 village(meaning that all the loot you got and when you sell it say is 10k, but you have to pay 25-50k for peace).

As for not being able to join Khuzait as a mercenary - if I understand you Khuzait is currently not at war with anyone?
Kingdomes will never hire the player as a mercenaryclan unless they are in war.
When you join the faction as a mercenary your hostile relation towards Southern Empire should go away on its own.(Unless Khuzait is at war with them).
I dont recall if its changed, but after you leave Khuzait as a merc if you do - you'll be bumped up to being hostile(take this with a pinch of salt since its a very long time ago I did that type of action).
