I'm sure there's already a similar topic, but I don't like the search function much.
I'm making a new map of Central Europe for the 1257 AD Middle Europe mod, and I want to make some natural boundaries for the map to limit the accessible terain. The desert terrain is useless (not much desert in Central Europe), so if I could make it impassable (like mountains) then I could use it as boundaries. It would look weird if I had a huge strip of mountain in Eastern Europe - where there's mostly plains and steppe, but if I were to put desert there (and change the desert.dds texture to match plain texture) it would look natural.
So how can I make desert impassable?
