How to lvl up Companion's charm?

i dont know if its a but or not, but if you put your companion or family member in a settlement, they generation positive relation per day and so i got my small brother and sister until they got an adult, they had a lot of charme and this also leveled up my companions charm and mine.
so everyone go charm.
but yesterday i found a bug, that my family members change the location to where i put my last family member in 3 ingame days.
reported and been investigated.
dont know if the fast level up of children still works, because it was a bug and also reported that.
