How to know if im a merc or a vassal?

I have the "get out of oath" dialogue option so I THINK Im a vassal, but I think there's a way to know for sure but I just forgot. Could you guys help me out

Hold alt over your economics and it will tell if you have a merc salery.

I think there are a few ways to tell. I think mercenary clans get an unique icon in the kingdom tab, you also can't vote on any policies iirc. It should also say you are a merc on your clan's encyclopedia page. Just off the top of my head.
