How to install M&B to different folder?

Yeh, as you can see from the headline, that's what I'm asking. Might be sillyest question ever! but I still ask it. Could someone help? I'd like to test the Polished landscapes mod.

you can just copy the M&B folder.
Or choose a different folder when installing.

Does the copying possibly corrupt any files involved?

Not more then any other file you copy.
