How to increase party size?

Just to clarify for everyone:

Steward - Raises party size - Can be increased by having as many types of food in your party as you can. The stat will increase daily.

Leadership - This only affects Armies (groups of parties) not your individual party - can be raised by joining an army or leading one.


For influence, if you are a Vassal of a kingdom, try to get a Town. You can build an upgrade which will passively increase your influence. Also, look through the policies of the kingdom, there are some that will greatly help you passively increase influence (also very useful when you create your own faction). Finally, you can donate enemy troops to your factions dungeons by going to the keep in a town or castle they own. This will raise your influence depending on the value of the troops.

I’m also having a hard time determining what grants leadership XP. Moral is high and have all the food varieties in my inventory. I have the max army size I can (77) and it’s just not leveling. I have three focus points in it.

That's party size, not Army size. Once you're in a Kingdom, you can form an Army and be rewarded Leadership XP.

To everyone else:
There are also policies that allow you higher party size (I think the most I've had at one point is something like 240 units) if your clan level is 3+.
You can also unlock certain traits that marginally improve your party size (For example; Squires will grant +2 party size).
Each Clan Level up grants you +15 party size - I think level 6 is the highest clan level (I haven't seen any clans higher than that anyway).
