how to improve relation with your vassals?

so i declared my empire as independent or as the story line goes empire of calradia. I then decide to persuade/coerce npc vassals to come over and be in my empire, but the problem is i don't know how to improve their relation, and it seems that as their castles and settlements get taken away from them, they lose relation with me and a lot. one of my vassal had 20 relation with me and it never increase when i declare the castle to be his. but once the khuzait declare war on me and started to clear my vassals land up, i notice my relation towards my vassal drastically decreased and went negative.

five then fief vote to specific clan they give you lots of relation points

- Release them instead of taking them as prisoners.
- Join their battles and help them. You can also "herd" enemies towards them and just join.
