How to give orders?

Ive been playing this game for 3 days ad im lvl 8.Its the perfect game for me but i dont know how to give orers t0 my units can someone help me?               
I also need some tips for gameplay.

They are listed in the options menu. Simply pick the group and issue the order. Not picking a group at the beginning means giving the order to everyone.

Swadius is right. To keep it simple, I just use 1,2,3 and 4 on the keyboard to select everyone, infantry, archers or cavalry, then f1, f2 or f3 to order them to hold their positions, follow, or charge the enemy. It's one of the great things about Mount&blade that so many other games lack. A simple command system.

and if u upload formations pack u can have a wedge,or ranks added to it
