how to get swadian crossbowmen?

Hi, I want an army of archers cause i thought it would be fun, but i don't know how to get them. I hired some swadian militia but i don't know what i should upgrade them to get them to be archers. I forget the names of the 2 choices, but they're ready to upgrade and I don't know which one to do. So can someone tell me what upgrades i need to make archers?

Just do something like this please.... militia > something > crossbowman.

Upgrade them to skirmishers.

peasants -> militia -> skirmishers -> crossbowmen -> sharpshooters
............................-> footmen.....-> men at arms...->knights

it's the same for vaegir units, just with different names

You forgot footmen->infantry->seargeants
