How to get a faction to declare war on you?

Im currently playing as a vassal of Novgorod Republic
And i plan to eventually overthrow it,but by that time i need to get myself some teritories.
The problem is,Novgorod is at peace with EVERYONE,or ocasionally declare war on some balt tribes to loot them

Now,i want the Golden Horde to declare on us so that i can take some settlements
I raided 3 villages,1 caravan,i EVEN HAVE 2 lords prisoners!
they still arnt declaring

Try to talk to your faction leader, there should be an option to suggest war declaration on specific kingdom.

yes,and after that i waited about 2 more days.And still nothing

Some lords gives a quest where you have to attack some caravans to provoke a war. Try that.

Two days aren't that much. Try waiting a week or two - keep raiding their caravans and villages in the meantime.

I have the same problem with Novgorod. We wont declare war on anyone. We have not had a decent fight since the swedes made peace with us early in the game. I even ammassed my troops and slaughtered a mongol horde, but still no war. It is frustrating. I have 21 relation with the faction leader, and the Teutons are at war with two others, but he wont take my advice and declare war! I think it is a glitch with Novgorod.

yes,and after that i waited about 2 more days.And still nothing

You have to wait a little longer maybe, just as one guy said above, it can last several weeks until they declare war or the king gets a face loss thingy. There are some factions, like HRE, who in many cases declare instantly war on being provoked but there are others who hesitate, especially if they are already at war with too many others or with someone with whom the war doesn't progress as good as they expected. If they don't react at all, I would start to conquer castles - then they have to react in some way.

It was the same thing in my current game and I think they actually fear them , because Novgorod has taken several castles from Litus and the Teutonic order, 5-6 of them on the whole, they are relatively powerful and big now as many lords have switched to Novgorod, and now they are slowly starting to get declared war upon them or declare war themselves regularly. And I never helped them even once, not even as a merc. I cannot understand all the posts and comments about them being so weak and underpowered

Well you're one of the lucky ones
One time,it was the year 1260,2 in-game years and novgorod still had the same amount of regions,they didnt expand one little castle or town,while the mongols conquered all the baltic regions of the teutons.
The weird fact is that they should've had some border incidents or something

Yes, was the same in my game for the first 2 years while I was only mercing around and getting rich, the map almost didn't change like at all and Novgorod stayed the same with no wars at all (looked up the faction info several times, they were always at peace with everyone). Then, as soon as I started to conquer stuff, the whole world changed dramatically and everybody else also started to conquer, likewise did Novgorod. Now, around 4 years into the game, you wouldn't recognize many of the original factions anymore and several factions have been wiped out. Seems like when the player starts to shift the balance, all the others are also jumping on the bandwagon.

odd... my game is TOTALLY different

long before I started my little Kingdom the poor Novgorod were getting torn to shreds first by the Swedes (of which I was a member) - after I left the Swedes to form my own Kingdom the Novgorod were fighting a losing battle against the Teutonic Order and now they are fighting a losing war against Regnum Litus

they are down to 1 city and 1 castle... the Teutonics took the most (though they also lost a lot against the Swedes)

luckily for them the Order is now fighting Litus at the same time as them - the whole area is one mass of smoke when ever I ride up there... don't think there's an unlooted village in the entire area...

I play with Poland for 400 days now. First war obviously mongols, few hits here and there and its over. Then other wars with holy roman empire, and other border countries.
At that time Teutons had some minor factions take over 2 of their castles which my marshal took from them. At the same time denmark and sweden took a massive amount of eastern fiefs.
Game really is random with who and when and what will take.
