Are there an option for equipping my companions with their appropriate weapon for their skills? also does their skills like healing or scouting apply for the army?
In your Inventory you have little arrows beside your name and can switch characters.
No clue for the army thingy, i only tinker with fighting related stuff, my char is aging too fast for a longer playthrought.

No worries, i was unable to figure out where to find my smithing-stamina.
Then i saw on Reformists lets play that its simply mouse over your portrait in the smithing menu.
