Resolved How to create my own Kingdom?

Dear TaleWorlds staff,
I met some issue in this game. I will try to describe it in detail, but my game is in simplified Chinese, so some names or factions may be not those actually used in the game...
I did the dragon banner mission and chose to "destroy the empire". I join the Kuset Khanate first, showed the Khan my dragon banner. After I got two cities, I didn't go well with the Khan so I decide to build my own kingdom. I click leave the kingdom button and conquired the rest land of the Kuset Khanate. However, the "Kingdom" buttom at left bottom corner is always grey to me, saying "I need to join a kingdom". By wathing other gamers' videos, I know if you choose to "build my own kingdom" option with the NPC, and got a city or castle, after the conversation， you will build a kingdom of your own and be able to invite othe noble families to your kingdom. My kingdom button is greyed out, and I cannot promulgate a decree and other functions.

So I got two questions... 1, Do I HAVE to follow the mission to build my own kingdom? If I ignore the main mission, can I just seige a castle and build my own faction, or kingdom?
2, I joint a faction and betryed... I know this may be a little abnormal, how can I build a kingdom now? I just don't want a boss over my head again...I need the function of Kingdom buttom.
