Hi,
I've read a large chunk of the FAQ thread (not all, though, this thing is huge !), and I didn't find an answer. Also, a Google search found near hits, but nothing exactly on point. Hence my question:
I'd like to create my own faction, WITHOUT having to rebel from a kingdom, or having to convince a pretender that I should keep whatever I conquered for him.
I remember having done this without problem in Warband, but, in Viking Conquest, I cannot find a way to do it. I have a "kingdom" button inside one of the tabs (the character tab, I guess), but it says I first need to be leader of my faction. Nowhere do I find a button to let me style myself as Queen Eileen, first of her name (or any equivalent Irish title).
So... is it at all possible ? I had tried conquering a town (while in story mode), and found out that I could only loot it, but I couldn't keep it, then. I haven't tried again since I'm in sandbox, after finishing the tiresome story mode (Too many constraints on what a player may, or may not, do, and too many scripted events with permadeath - a "climactic" battle where you must sit on the edge 90% of the time is not really fun, in my humble opinion)
So... thanks in anticipation for your answers.
