How to change banner

How do I change my banner ingame? I mispicked it because an event popped up before. (its very very long ago ingame because first i havent noticed it and then my internet was down for 10 days)

It is not really important, but it is has aesthetical reasons

you can`t

this is why I suggest, when you do become a lord with a toon, wait patiently for a day or two until you get to choose your banner, so there wouldn`t be any mess-ups.

unless ofc there`s a way to mess with that, but you`ll have to ask a modder for that...

it's easy enough to change your banner, all you need is something that opens dds files, photoshop with the dds plugin, or get a free one off the net, open the file with the banners, called banners a, b and so on, and copy another banner and place it over the one you choose, then place that one over the other one, just back up the file incase you mess it up, or you could ask someone to make you a new banner in this thread

I'd more likely change the banner as the string in the savegame, not the banner itself which i am incorrectly using at the moment. so if somebody knows how i can edit my savegame the way it has to, that i can use another banner i would be very pleased, otherwise i really have to go through the whole process and edit the banner in native forever

TL;DR: i want to solve the problem technically in the savegame, not graphically in "banners_a.dds" (its the crossed axes on olive ground)

This is the only way to do it. I did it when I started too by replacing my chosen banner with what I really wanted.

Nope, it isn't.

In menus.txt, look for:
mno_action_modify_banner  1 31 2 144115188075856014 1  Cheat:_Modify_your_banner.  1 900 1 1513209474796486657  . 
And change the blue numbers to 0. You might want to remove that "Cheat" bit too. All you have to do now is go to the camp menu and select that option. (You can use it even if you're not rewarded a banner though.)

Only bug is that you don't need to be awarded a banner to be able to choose a "new" one.
