How to become the marshall???

Hey i have a question,

how do i become the marshall, i'm a vassal of the Rhodoks and i see from time to time that there is a marschall.
Does anybody know how you this become??

Have high renown and relationship among your faction's lords. Then wait for the current marshal to loose a battle.
