How to be a Gentleman

Users who are viewing this thread

This, my friends of the AoFI forum, is thee art of honor. Serving for your king, to bravely fall in battle.

Steps to being a gentleman;
1. Wear White Gloves
Always. They are at the epicenter of (gentle)manliness, without them you are nothing.

2. Always Accept Duels or Surrenders
Nothing is less honorable than killing surrendering men(The Patriot, anyone?). They are to be executed 1 of 3 ways...
  • Firing Squad (I hope you all know what that is, a good rule is do nottake the first shot)
  • Pistol Execution (Stand Backwards, enemy holds pistol Point Blank to the back of your head, BOOM)
  • Beating (The whole friendly team is to sheathe weapons and start kicking/punching victim to death)

3. Never be afraid to ask of duels
As a gentleman, you should be given duels if you are to ask. Two types of possible duels, but duels can be anything that both parites agree on.
  • Sword Duel, Straighforward. Swing until someone dies.
  • Pistol Duel, Each pary gets one shot, stand back to back, take 5 paces, turn, BAM. If both live, close for sword combat.

4.
Don't be a ****. Try and have fun, and fun is not measured in your K/D Ratio.

Thank you gentleman, carry on with your warfare.

    Are you sure?  :D

Oh yeah.
Beating someone to death is the most honorable way to kill someone.

No, but you beat them to death if they say, had surrendered, then pulled out a hidden musket and fired it iont the commander's face Point-Blank.

"Beating" should be replaced by "Stoning."

Imagine 10 guys all throwing rocks at someone until they died :P

Well, I can say this with all my heart I do none of these. I guess I will always be the damn good soldier that I have always been.

What did this man do to you bobby?

Also, about thestones, people would just run around and throw them, which would be quite annoying, and could get you killed.

Well seeing as throwing stones have a shorter range than pistols and muskets, and they do hardly and damage, I'm pretty sure anyone bent on using only throwing stones would be weeded out fairly quickly by an enemy's bullet :)

The problem is, that muskets are so inaccurate, that you arnt always able to hit someone as they charge.

Also, I see shred is viewing this. Reply to my pm dammit!

Thnak you, lieutenant.

Now, all we need is shred's approval and we can ban anyone that doesn't follow it.

We're going to start banning people for not wearing white gloves?

What if we don't feel like dueling an enemy, who is mainly interested in dueling because they have gotten themselves in a tight spot, yet we let them return to their lines unharmed, is that gentlemanly?

Why yes, that would be very gentlemanly, although not necessary.
I personally, would give him a duel, or maybe even take the extra step you suggested.

A gentleman you are, friend.

When you surrender, quickly attack the most wounded looking enemy in hopes that he will die from your punches.
