How Possible (or Difficult) Would a 'Calradia Seasons' Mod be?

I'm just curious. I think having the year fully modelled would be beyond fabulous. (With penalties for movement and riding in winter - when you're in the cold north ..... and then the summer in the desert down south being even harsher).

What do you guys think? Is this realistic?

Since there are already assets for different seasons, the only thing you would have to add is a few modifiers for different times of the year. I think something like this is already implemented in bannerlord though.

The real question however is whether or not this would make for compelling gameplay, because if you go even slightly too far you are essentially making some playstyles unplayable for a quarter of the game, which is ridiculous. In real life you wouldn't even conduct wars outside a few months of the year, but in real life you don't get bored after not being in a battle for 5 minutes.

For sure, it would have to be really carefully and finely balanced. Good to know it sounds possible though. (looks like you have some modding experience). Thanks for the reply.

I believe there will already be weather modifiers in place in the single player game effecting movement and projectiles. There was a dev blog about this.
