How much do you use in-game cheats? Do you use them for leveling, money, stronger party members; or do you turn them off altogether?

I'll start! I find that turning them off completely makes the temptation to use them eliminated, so mainly I don't use them. But when I do, I create massive armies of Knights with my 700,000 gold bank and slaughter anyone in my way despite my loses! My mens lives? Pshhh, Knights are a dime a dozen!

How much do you cheat?

I don't cheat don't need to ...
All I need is my character, money ain't a problem with the new investment system ... Enemies are retarded and traveling is traveling you either spend 2 first in-game weeks looking for companions or you teleport like a retard 14y old kid.

I cheat to get the stats of my companions up. Killing a collective army of 300+ soldiers with your small band of 15 superheroes is always fun. :D

Are you implying 14-year-old retards can teleport?

I cheat when I am getting to know a mod. There are so many mods. How can you try them all if you waste a ton of time building up when you can give yourself some money and explore the mod at will? However I believe you have zero bragging rights if you don't play the mods you do like without cheats. Basically I save time with cheats but don't cheat when i want to really get into the game.

For me its enough to import my vanilla char. Now he is 41 lvl so basically he is a killing machine, also imported companions at 18-20lvl from pre9 thats is more than enough to play, without any cheats ...
I'm earning now around 30-40k a week without a problem.

I normally run multiple characters at once, so I'll have some "honest" ones (no cheats AT ALL), and some "just for ****s and giggles" ones where I have 100% Boyar/Knight/Mameluke parties and hold half of Europe.

EDIT: Actually, recently I've turned one of my "JFSAG" ones into an honest one. He actually became able to honestly support (financially) an army of ~70 highest-tier cavalry.

Sometimes i cheat to help a faction or when pre10 got out i cheated to get myself to where i was before i had to delite my saves  :(.

I use cheats at the begining of my second or third playthrough, to set up factions the way i want them, E.g Giving Mamluks jerusalem, or severely weaken crusader states, so that i can go on crusade and rescue them, or to make a faction on the other side of the map stronger so that when my kingdom rises to power in my side of the map i would have an epic war between the two empires etc
Sometimes i use cheatmenu to get a certain item that is usually very hard to get, E.g A certain hopitaller mail cuirass with a white cross in the middle etc

the only "cheat" i use is importing my buffed up character from previous games. i don't like starting the same stuff again and again from scratch.

cheatmenu? something like that exists? interesting...

After enabling cheats from launcher menu, while ingame press ~ and type cheatmenu, this activates a lot of exrta options for each of the menu's in the game and some "options" in the camp menu, to deactivate press ~ and type nocheatmenu. Its very usefull, you can decide what each faction should do next, insant conquer while sieging, increase relations with a lord, it also shows some background calculations, Eg. the calculation and the outcome percentage while recruiting a lord.

I cheat 0% of the time. Because I have the attention span of a gnat. If I found all the content... I'd have to move on. I'm not ready to move on...

There are cheats for Mount and Blade? Had no idea, I don't see why anyone would want to cheat on an Action RPG game with unique features. It pretty much kills the fun-factor.

i've tried to start up the cheatmenu to see what's what but i can't get it to work. i press CTRL + ~ and nothing happens. same with SHIFT + ~ and just ~. this way or another - i've tried to type in "cheatmenu" but when i press the first letter (C) it show me my character stats.
any ideas? i've figured out that i have to check the "enable cheats" ticker in preloader. do i need anything else?

hmm... which version are we talking about? cause after turning on cheats in loader i see no magical "Cheat" prefix in 1.127 (didn't have the time or free enough connection to update). shortcuts as like "ctrl+h" don't interest me. i'm talking about the console and cheatmenu.

EDIT:
strange. i remember that i had to rebind the "outfit" button to a different key (~ was the default) cause it didn't work. now when i'm trying to bind "~" to any function it shows up as "unknown" (in options -> controls). any idea what's wrong? as far as i remember there was some kind of an issue with vista whenever IR device was installed/connected but i don't have any of those.

EDIT2:
ok, managed to get over the issue with some regediting

I just use control+x for money. That is the extent of my cheating.

I still have loads LOADS of fun playing without having to worry about money.

At the beginning of my character, I give them a nice endowment of about 250,000, and then deactivate cheating. SO much fun that way. I just RP a rich noble! ;)
